The Cacadu District Municipality is one of 46 district municipalities in South Africa. Covering 34% of the entire Eastern Cape Province's geographical footprint, the Cacadu District is the largest of the district municipalities in the Eastern Cape and wholly surrounds Nelson Mandela Bay. The Cacadu District Municipality assists 9 Local Municipalities in providing the services needed by their communities.

The Municipality is headed by Executive Mayor, Cr Khunjuzwa Eunice Kekana and Speaker, Cr Deon de Vos.

Cacadu tables a budget of R150 million Executive Mayor of the Cacadu District Municipality, Khunjuzwa Eunice Kekana, has tabled a Medium Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework (MTREF) of R150.9 million for the 2013/14 Financial Year.

The Cacadu District Municipality hereby gives notice that a Draft Spatial Development Framework has been compiled for the District. Residents, stakeholders and interested and affected parties are invited to submit comments and / or representations with regard to the Draft Spatial Development Framework.
